Mike Benedum competes in Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway
Making his annual trip to the Big E in June, Mike Benedum rolled into Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Wednesday afternoon before heavy rain showers washed out the FloRacing Night in America show.
Placed in Thursday's preliminary night, Benedum put down a strong lap in qualifying but faded in his heat race from his second-place staring position. With a seventh-place finish putting him a B-Main, Mike came up a few spots short of making the $25,000-to-win prelim feature.
Rolling off ninth in a heat race on Saturday, Mike slipped back to 11th and was buried in a last chance showdown. Despite a valiant effort, Benedum did not make the $100,030-to-win crown jewel.
