October 17, 2020 - Mike Benedum visits Portsmouth for Dirt Track World Championship
1 Mike Benedum visited Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) on Friday night to take part in the 40th annual General Tire Dirt Track World Championship. Drawing a stout field of 63 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Benedum recorded a seventh place finish in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main on Saturday night for another shot at the A-Main.

Locking the Top 2 into the $100,000-to-win Dirt Track World Championship, Mike logged a seventh place outing. Earning spot into the Jim Dunn Memorial non-qualifiers feature for a shot at a $3,000 payday, Benedum clawed forward two spots in the 25-lap affair to finish 10th.

September 6, 2020 - Benedum records 12th place finish in USA 100
1Competing in his lone event over the Labor Day weekend, Mike Benedum returned to Beckley Motorsports Park (Beckley, W.Va.) on Sunday afternoon for the Beckley USA 100. Earning the 10th-starting position for the $15,000-to-win A-Main via preliminary events, Benedum faded two spots in the 100-lap affair to register a 12th place finish.

August 8, 2020 - 11th place finish in Late Model special at Beckley
1Saturday night saw Mike Benedum return to Beckley Motorsports Park (Beckley, W.Va.) piloting his Appalachian Minerals No. 25 Late Model for the $7,500-to-win A-Main. Coming one spot shy of a Top-10 finish in the feature, Benedum scored a 11th place outing.

July 4, 2020 - Benedum rallies to finish fourth at Beckley Motorsports Park
1On Saturday evening Mike Benedum was one of 16 Late Models on hand at Beckley Motorsports Park (Beckley, W.Va.) for the Honor the Legends 60. After breaking the track record in time trials, Benedum cruised to a heat race victory, which positioned him on the pole for the feature. With $10,000 on the line, Mike rallied from the tail of the field after suffering a flat tire to place fourth behind Zack Dohm, Henry Hornsby III, and Ryan Montgomery with Chris Garnes coming in fifth.

June 27, 2020 - Mike Benedum attends Firecracker 100 weekend at Lernerville
1Mike Benedum traveled to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) on Thursday night piloting his Appalachian Minerals No. 25 Late Model entry for the opening round of the 14th annual Firecracker 100. Drawing 48 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries, Benedum fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fourth place finish. Needing a second place finish or better in his B-Main to make the $6,000-to-win preliminary feature, Mike logged a sixth place outing.

On Friday evening, Mike posted a 10th place outing in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 3 into the A-Main, Benedum logged a 10th place finish.

With preliminary results setting the grid for heat races on Saturday, Benedum elected to save equipment and scratched from his 10-lap heat.

June 13, 2020 - Seventh place finish in Ultimate NE Series opener at Roaring Knob
Friday night found Mike Benedum in action at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex (Markleysburg, Pa.) as the Ultimate Northeast Series kicked off its 2020 season. June 6, 2020 - Benedum Bags Podium Finish at Elkins Raceway
1Behind the wheel of the BSI Well Service No. 25 Late Model entry, Mike Benedum invaded Elkins Raceway (Kerens, W.V.) on Saturday evening for the regular night of racing. After coming in second in his heat behind Shane Hitt, Benedum posted a third place finish in the feature, trailing Bob Gordon and Hitt across the line with Logan Hitt and Billy Holbert rounding out the Top-5.

Mike Benedum was one of 30 Late Models on hand at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, W.V.) on Thursday evening for the King of the Ring 40. Coming in third in his heat race, Benedum locked into the 11th-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. May 21, 2020 - Mike Benedum Attends Golden Isles Nationals
1On Tuesday night Mike Benedum made the trip to Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Ga.) to kick off the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) Reopening Tour. With 43 cars on hand for the Optima Batteries Golden Isles Nationals, Benedum recorded the 19th fastest time in his qualifying group but suffered a broken rear-end in his heat, forcing him to scratch from his B-Main.

For the final round of the Golden Isles Nationals on Thursday evening, Mike came two spots short of a transfer position in his heat with a sixth place finish. Grabbing the third and final transfer position in his B-Main, Benedum locked into the 21st-starting position for the finale. With $7,000 on the line, Mike Benedum gained one spot in the 40-lapper to place 20th.

May 16, 2020 - Top 10 Finish in Spring Sizzler at 411 Motor Speedway
1With promoters and track officials mandating several precautionary measures to host the event during the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Mike Benedum made the trek to 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) on Saturday evening for the Spring Sizzler. Drawing 35 cars, Benedum laid down the 10th fastest time in his qualifying group before placing second in his heat behind David Payne. Earning the 12th-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Mike jumped up two spots in the 40-lapper to register a 10th place finish.

October 19, 2019 - Benedum Visits PRP for Dirt Track World Championship
1Friday night saw Mike Benedum return to action at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) for the 39th annual Rhino Ag Dirt Track World Championship. With a stout field of 66 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries on hand, Benedum followed up the 11th fastest time in his qualifying group with an 8th place finish in his heat.

Transferring into the B-Main on Saturday for another shot at the $100,000-to-win main event, Mike fell short with an 11th place outing.

September 1, 2019 - Top 5 Finish in Earl Hill Memorial at Tyler County Speedway
Mike Benedum invaded Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) on Saturday evening kicking off the Labor Day weekend with the Earl Hill Memorial. 1The following night for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned Hillbilly 100, Mike edged his way into the $30,000-to-win A-Main with the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat race. Rolling off on the tail after being penalized by race officials, Benedum gained seven spots to place 19th.

August 24, 2019 - Mike Benedum Begins Dirt Million at Mansfield
1On Thursday night Mike Benedum followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Mansfield Motor Speedway (Mansfield, Ohio) returning behind the wheel of the Eric Hudkins-owned No. 8 Super Late Model for the second annual Dirt Million. Grabbing the 6th and final transfer spot in his heat race, Benedum earned the 18th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature. Holding his spot for all 30-laps, Mike posted an 18th place outing.

August 10, 2019 - Benedum Attends North/South Weekend at Florence Speedway
Thursday night saw Mike Benedum return to action at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) powering the Eric Hudkins-owned No. 8 Super Late Model. Drawing 52 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries for the North/South Shootout, Benedum laid down the second fastest lap in his group before placing 2nd in his heat behind Frank Heckenast Jr. With $10,000 on the line in the opening night feature, Mike slipped back to a 17th place outing. The following night competing in pair of heat races, Mike came in 7th in his first heat before charging to a 10-lap victory. Failing to place in the Top 16 in passing points, Benedum transferred into the B-Main on Saturday night for another shot at the $50,000-to-win finale.

Needing to place in the Top 2, Benedum streaked to a 15-lap consolation victory locking his spot into the show. Rolling off 17th, Mike Benedum dropped seven spots in the 100-lapper recording a 24th place finish.

February 6, 2019 - Top 10 Finish in Round 5 of Wrisco Winternationals at East Bay
1Mike Benedum kicked off the 2019 season on Monday night at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) for the 43rd annual Wrisco Winternationals. Drawing a stout field of 53 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Benedum recorded the 15th fastest time in his qualifying group before placing 7th in his heat. Needing a 2nd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the opening night feature, Mike fell short with a 12th place finish.

Returning on Tuesday, Mike came two spots short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place finish. Failing to place 2nd or better in his B-Main, Benedum transferred into the DirtonDirt.com Strawberry Dash for one last shot at the main event. Sending only the race winner into the show, Mike logged a 17th place outing.

On Thursday night, Mike laid down the fastest time overall in a field of 49 cars before placing 5th in his heat. Failing to place 2nd or better in his B-Main, Benedum was granted a provisional into the show. With $7,000 on the line, Mike Benedum passed seven cars in the 40-lap affair recording a 19th place finish.

For the fifth round of the Wrisco Winternationals on Friday, Benedum laid down the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group before coming in 2nd in his heat behind Tyler Erb. Earning the 7th-starting position for the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Mike dropped two spots in the 50-lap affair to place 9th.

Wrapping up the Wrisco Winternationals on Saturday evening, Mike secured his spot into the $12,000-to-win A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Rolling off 12th, Benedum was an early retiree from the 50-lapper while being credited with a 25th place outing.

Steady rainfall wiped out Sunday night’s LOLMDS Speedweeks finale at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida).
