February 6, 2019 - Top 10 Finish in Round 5 of Wrisco Winternationals at East Bay
1Mike Benedum kicked off the 2019 season on Monday night at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) for the 43rd annual Wrisco Winternationals. Drawing a stout field of 53 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Benedum recorded the 15th fastest time in his qualifying group before placing 7th in his heat. Needing a 2nd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the opening night feature, Mike fell short with a 12th place finish.

Returning on Tuesday, Mike came two spots short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place finish. Failing to place 2nd or better in his B-Main, Benedum transferred into the DirtonDirt.com Strawberry Dash for one last shot at the main event. Sending only the race winner into the show, Mike logged a 17th place outing.

On Thursday night, Mike laid down the fastest time overall in a field of 49 cars before placing 5th in his heat. Failing to place 2nd or better in his B-Main, Benedum was granted a provisional into the show. With $7,000 on the line, Mike Benedum passed seven cars in the 40-lap affair recording a 19th place finish.

For the fifth round of the Wrisco Winternationals on Friday, Benedum laid down the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group before coming in 2nd in his heat behind Tyler Erb. Earning the 7th-starting position for the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Mike dropped two spots in the 50-lap affair to place 9th.

Wrapping up the Wrisco Winternationals on Saturday evening, Mike secured his spot into the $12,000-to-win A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Rolling off 12th, Benedum was an early retiree from the 50-lapper while being credited with a 25th place outing.

Steady rainfall wiped out Sunday night’s LOLMDS Speedweeks finale at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida).

December 11, 2018 - Mike Benedum Records Two-Win 2018 Season
The 2018 season saw Mike Benedum compete in a total of 24 events where his captured two wins aboard his Eric Hudkins Motorsports #25 BSI Well Service Sweet Bloomquist Race Car/ Roush Yates Racing Engine Super Late Model. Losing four of his scheduled dates to Mother Nature, Benedum seven collected Top-10 outings and six Top-5 finishes.

November 3, 2018 - Benedum Attends Dirt Track World Championship at Portsmouth
1On Thursday evening Mike Benedum was one of 76 World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series entries signed in at the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, North Carolina) for the 12th annual World Finals. Competing in a round of qualifying, Benedum registered the 25th fastest time in his group locking him into the 9th-starting position for his heat race on Friday.

Jumping up two spots, Mike registered a 7th place finish transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Needing to place 2nd or better, Benedum fell short with an 8th place outing.

Returning on Saturday night, Benedum came in 24th fastest in his group before placing 7th in his heat race. Transferring the Top 2 out of the B-Main into the $12,000-to-win finale, Mike fell back to a 16th place outing after get caught behind a wreck on the opening lap.

October 21, 2018 - Benedum Attends Dirt Track World Championship at Portsmouth
1Friday night found Mike Benedum in action at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) for the 38th annual Rhino Ag Dirt Track World Championship. With 49 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand for the two-day event, Mike followed up a 9th place finish in his first heat with a 8th place finish in his second heat. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the $100,000-to-win finale, Benedum fell short with an 8th place finish. Earning a spot into the Jim Dunn Memorial non-qualifiers feature, Mike Benedum jumped up three spots in the 30-lapper to place 3rd.

October 6, 2018 - 2nd Place Finish in Jim Dunn Memorial at Midway Speedway
On Saturday evening Mike Benedum traveled to Midway Speedway (Crooksville, Ohio) for the Jim Dunn Memorial. In a field of 37 cars, Benedum laid down the fastest time overall in qualifying before cruising to a heat race victory. Earning the pole position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Mike dropped one spot in the 60-lap affair to place 2nd behind Devin Moran with Brent Larson, Eddie Carrier Jr., and Colten Burdette completing the Top-5 finishers.

September 15, 2018 - Benedum Salvages Top 5 Finish at Ohio Valley Speedway
Mike Benedum was one of 37 Super Late Models signed in at Ohio Valley Speedway (Lubeck, West Virginia) on Saturday night for Gibby’s King Championship. Following the fastest time in his qualifying group, Benedum captured a heat race victory positioning him on the pole for the feature. With $5,000 on the line, Mike led the first 25 circuits but faded in the closing laps to place 4th behind Colten Burdette, Ronnie Mayle, and Chris Garnes with Harold Redman Jr. coming in 5th.
