July 31, 2021 - Mike Benedum attends Prairie Dirt Classic at FALS
1Making his first ever start at the famed Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.), Mike Benedum trekked to the Illinois oval on Friday for the 31st annual Prairie Dirt Classic weekend. With the 74 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries split into two separate groups for time trials, Benedum’s 19th fastest qualifying effort pinned him 10th on the starting grid for the $3,000-to-win preliminary feature. Locking the Top 4 finishers into Saturday’s main event, Mike recorded a 10th-place finish.

Transferring into the B-Main on Saturday, Mike improved one spot to finish seventh, sending him into the Non-Qualifiers feature. With the race winner given the option to pocket the $2,500 payday or tag the tail of the main event, Benedum posted a 14th-place outing.

July 24, 2021 - Benedum notches fourth-place finish at I-77 Speedway
1On Saturday afternoon Mike Benedum visited I-77 Raceway (Ripley, W.Va.) for the 29 Upper Big Branch Miners Memorial Race. After topping the speed charts in time trials, Benedum scored a third-place finish in the Dash. Receiving the third-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Mike was running in second late when mechanical issue dropped him back to fourth. He trailed Freddie Carpenter, Chris Carpenter, and Drake Troutman to the checkers with Kenneth Howell coming in fifth.

July 18, 2021 - Top-10 finish in Southern Nationals opener at Beckley Motorsports Park
Taking part in the Schaffer’s Southern Nationals opener, Mike Benedum made the short trip to Beckley Motorsports Park (Beckley, W.Va.) on Friday evening for the $10,053 prize. Drawing 24 Late Models, Mike followed up the fourth fastest time in his group with a second-place finish in his heat, which came behind Dale McDowell. Locked into the eighth-starting position for the main event, Benedum ran a steady pace throughout the 53-lapper, marking him eighth on the rundown when the checkered flag flew. (Rick Neff photo)

1After a scheduled off on Saturday, Benedum trekked to the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) on Sunday for the inaugural Carolina Sizzler. With time trials setting the grid for the $20,000-to-win A-Main, Mike clocked in 16th fastest overall in a field of 28 cars. Clawing forward three spots in the 60-lap affair, Benedum recorded a 13th-place outing.

July 4, 2021 - 12th-place finish in USA 100 at Beckley
Mike Benedum made his lone start of the Fourth of July weekend on Sunday afternoon at Beckley Motorsports Park (Beckley, W.Va.) for the USA 100. In a feature that saw multiple drivers drop out with flat tires, Benedum notched a 12th-place finish in the 100-lapper. (Blake Harris photo)
