September 27th, 2014 - Benedum Struggles at Roaring Knob
1After a weekend away from the track, Mike Benedum returned to the seat of his #25 BSI Well Service/Longhorn/Roush Yates Racing Engine Super Late Model over the weekend at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex (Markleysburg, Pennsylvania).

Friday night's opening round of the annual Big Kahuna posted a $2,000 top prize for competitors, as thirty-two Super Late Models converged on the 3/8 mile oval. Benedum finished third in his heat race before racing to a 21st place finish in the preliminary feature.

Saturday evening saw the winner's check increased to $5,000 for the event, which was sanctioned by the Three State Flyers Series. Thirty-three Super Late Models entered the event, and a heat race win earned Mike a starting spot in the Big Kahuna finale. He battled at the front of the pack early on before being forced to retire to a 22nd place finish.

September 14th, 2014 - Mike Benedum Earns Podium Finish at Legendary Hilltop
1Mike Benedum made a trip to the Legendary Hilltop Speedway (Marietta, Ohio) on Friday night for an AMRA Weekly Racing Series program. Twenty-one AMRA Super Late Models filled the pit area at the 1/4 mile oval, and Mike started his outing by timing in second overall during qualifications. In the main event, Benedum advanced from his sixth starting spot to register a third place finish behind race winner, Butch McGill and Travis Brookover. Jeromy Misel and Corey DeLancey rounded out the top five finishers. Full results from the program can be found at www.LegendaryHilltopSpeedway.com

The team traveled to Princeton Speedway (Princeton, West Virginia) on Saturday evening for the West Virginia Dirt Cup, which boosted a $4,000 top prize for competitors. Mike started his outing with a heat race win to lock into the seventh starting spot for the finale. Unfortunately, dense fog forced officials to postpone the main event until Sunday afternoon. When the feature was contested on Sunday, Benedum settled to a tenth place finish in the final rundown. Full results from the event are available at www.PrincetonSpeedway.com
