February 11, 2018 - Mike Benedum Ends 2018 Speedweeks at Bubba Raceway Park
1Wrapping up the Florida-Georgia speed-weeks with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Mike Benedum stopped at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) on Sunday night for the Bubby Army Winternationals. Passing one car in his 10-lap heat, Benedum recorded a 7th place finish transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 3 into the $10,000-to-win finale, Mike came up one spot short of a transfer position with a 4th place outing.

February 10, 2018 - Benedum Follows Lucas Oil to East Bay
Mike Benedum was one of 40 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) on Monday night kicking off the Wrisco Industries Winternationals. Transferring the Top 4 out of the heats, Benedum edged his way into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with the 4th and final transfer position. 1The following night in a field of 46 cars, Benedum logged a 7th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 3 into the A-Main, Mike posted a 10th place finish giving him one last shot at the feature with the DirtonDirt.com Strawberry Dash. With only the race winner making the feature, Benedum recorded a 10th place outing bringing an early end to his night.

On Wednesday night debuting in a brand new Sweet-Bloomquist car, Benedum laid down the fastest time overall in a field of 51 cars but slipped back to a  6th place finish in his heat. Failing to make it out for his consolation event, Mike was granted a provisional into the $7,000-to-win A-Main. Starting in 25th, Mike Benedum improved five spots to place 20th.

Returning on Thursday evening, Mike came up two spots short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place finish. Needing to place 2nd or better in his B-Main to make the show, Benedum logged a 11th place finish ending his night.

For the $10,000 top prize on Friday, Benedum recorded a 7th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 2 into the A-Main, Mike landed a 7th place outing sending him into the Strawberry Dash. Rolling off 9th for one last shot at the feature, Mike Benedum slipped back to a 11th place finish.

Wrapping up the Wrisco Industries Winternationals on Saturday, Benedum followed up a 7th place finish in his heat with a 4th place finish in his B-Main. Starting on the front row of the Strawberry Dash, Mike streaked to the consolation victory positioning him 26th on the starting grid for the $12,000-to-win finale. February 3, 2018 - Mike Benedum Begins 2018 Season at Golden Isles Speedway
1On Friday night Mike Benedum made his 2018 debut at Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Rhino Ag Super Bowl of Racing. Drawing 41 Super Late Models for the two-day event, Benedum timed in sixth fastest in his group but was light at the scales earning him the 11th-starting spot for his heat race. Transferring the Top 4 into the opening night feature, Mike suffered mechanical issues sending him into the B-Main. Needing to place in the Top 4, Mike logged a 9th place outing ending his night early.

Returning on Saturday night for the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Mike followed up the third fastest time in his qualifying group with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Tyler Erb. Rolling off 8th, Benedum retired early from the 60-lapper after running out of tear-offs. He was credited with a 24th place finish. (Heath Lawson photo)

October 21, 2017 - Benedum Visits Portsmouth Raceway Park for DTWC
1Kicking off the 37th annual Rhino Ag Dirt Track World Championship, Mike Benedum traveled to Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) on Friday night powering the Eric Hudkin’s-owned #1 Super Late Model for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned weekend. In a field of 72 Super Late Models, Benedum logged a 7th place finish in his first round of heats. Getting caught in a wreck in his second heat, Mike was able to walk away from the wreck uninjured although was forced to scratch from his consolation event.

September 3, 2017 - Mike Benedum Attends Hillbilly 100 at Tyler County Speedway
1Mike Benedum returned to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) on Sunday for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned program. Drawing 46 Super Late Models for the 49th annual Hillbilly 100, Benedum recorded a 8th place finish in his heat giving him one final shot at the $25,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Sending the Top 3 into the show, Mike fell short with a 10th place outing.

August 19, 2017 - Top 10 Finish in Season Debut at Tyler County Speedway
1On Saturday night Mike Benedum made his season debut at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) aboard the Lyle Benedum Motorsports #25 entry. With 19 Super Late Models on hand, Benedum qualified third fastest overall in qualifying before posting a 4th place outing his heat race. Bringing home a Top 10 finish in the feature, Michael posted a 7th place spot.

December 28th, 2016 - Mike Benedum Wraps up 2016 Season
Making his way to events 21 during the 2016 season, Mike Benedum registered five Top 10 finishes. With the weather determining the outcome of four of his scheduled dates, Benedum notched three Top 5 outings.

September 4th, 2016 - Top 5 Finish for Benedum in Hillbilly 100 at Tyler County Speedway
1Traveling to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) on Sunday, Mike Benedum was one of 44 Super Late Models signed in for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Hillbilly 100. Taking the Top 4 out of the heats, Benedum edged his way into the main event with a 4th place finish. Starting in 15th for the $25,000-to-win A-Main, Mike stormed through the field eleven spots capturing a 4th place finish behind Scott Bloomquist, Jonathan Davenport, and Brandon Sheppard with Tim Dohm coming in 5th. August 13th, 2016 - Car Troubles for Benedum at Florence Speedway
1Piloting the Sweet Bloomquist Car #1 Super Late Model, Mike Benedum headed to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Thursday night for the rescheduled Ralph Latham Memorial.  Drawing 65 Super Late Models for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned program, Benedum failed to make it out for hot-laps due to car troubles. Getting ready to pull on the track for the practice session, Mike was forced to scratch from the rest of the night’s event after discovering a broken rocker arm.  

On Friday night with two heat races to earn his shot into the Sunoco North/South 100 on Saturday, Benedum logged a 9th place outing in his first heat. Suffering more issues under the hood in his second heat, Mike packed up and withdrew from the rest of the weekend’s events.
