September 3, 2017 - Mike Benedum Attends Hillbilly 100 at Tyler County Speedway
1Mike Benedum returned to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) on Sunday for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned program. Drawing 46 Super Late Models for the 49th annual Hillbilly 100, Benedum recorded a 8th place finish in his heat giving him one final shot at the $25,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Sending the Top 3 into the show, Mike fell short with a 10th place outing.

August 19, 2017 - Top 10 Finish in Season Debut at Tyler County Speedway
1On Saturday night Mike Benedum made his season debut at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) aboard the Lyle Benedum Motorsports #25 entry. With 19 Super Late Models on hand, Benedum qualified third fastest overall in qualifying before posting a 4th place outing his heat race. Bringing home a Top 10 finish in the feature, Michael posted a 7th place spot.

December 28th, 2016 - Mike Benedum Wraps up 2016 Season
Making his way to events 21 during the 2016 season, Mike Benedum registered five Top 10 finishes. With the weather determining the outcome of four of his scheduled dates, Benedum notched three Top 5 outings.

September 4th, 2016 - Top 5 Finish for Benedum in Hillbilly 100 at Tyler County Speedway
1Traveling to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) on Sunday, Mike Benedum was one of 44 Super Late Models signed in for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Hillbilly 100. Taking the Top 4 out of the heats, Benedum edged his way into the main event with a 4th place finish. Starting in 15th for the $25,000-to-win A-Main, Mike stormed through the field eleven spots capturing a 4th place finish behind Scott Bloomquist, Jonathan Davenport, and Brandon Sheppard with Tim Dohm coming in 5th. August 13th, 2016 - Car Troubles for Benedum at Florence Speedway
1Piloting the Sweet Bloomquist Car #1 Super Late Model, Mike Benedum headed to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Thursday night for the rescheduled Ralph Latham Memorial.  Drawing 65 Super Late Models for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned program, Benedum failed to make it out for hot-laps due to car troubles. Getting ready to pull on the track for the practice session, Mike was forced to scratch from the rest of the night’s event after discovering a broken rocker arm.  

On Friday night with two heat races to earn his shot into the Sunoco North/South 100 on Saturday, Benedum logged a 9th place outing in his first heat. Suffering more issues under the hood in his second heat, Mike packed up and withdrew from the rest of the weekend’s events.

July 31st, 2016 - Benedum Lands Runner-up Finish at Tyler County Speedway
1Running in the unsanctioned Bud Weigle Memorial, Mike Benedum headed to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) on Saturday to compete in the J&R Excavating Super Late Models presented by Midcap Land and Timber. In a field of 18 cars, Mike landed a runner-up finish in the feature behind Sweet-Bloomquist Race Cars teammate Jared Hawkins with Steve Weigle, Keith Barbara, and Matt Cosner rounding out the top five.

1Sunday night brought 21 Super Late Models to Brushcreek Motorsports Complex (Peebles, Ohio) for the Short Track Auto Racing Series (STARS) sanctioned event. Earning the 2nd-starting spot for the $3,000-to-win feature, Benedum fell back to a 12th place outing after making the wrong tire choice. (Tyler Carr Photo)

July 16th, 2016 - Mike Benedum Heads to Oakshade to Close out Hell Tour
1Competing in the final two nights of the UMP DIRTcar Summernationals Hell Tour, Mike Benedum headed to Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) on Friday for the two-day special event. In a stacked field of fifty Super Late Models, Benedum fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place outing. Storming to a consolation win, Mike was set start 17th for the opening night A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Mike Benedum improved three spots posting a 14th place finish.

On Saturday night for the $10,000-to-win Birthday Race, Mike transferred into the B-Main for one last shot at the feature after placing 5th in his heat. Sending the top two into the 60-lap A-Main, Benedum logged a 5th place finish bringing an early end to his night.

July 3rd, 2016 - Benedum Competes in Lucas Oil Action Over 4th of July Weekend
1On Saturday night Mike Benedum kicked off his 4th of July weekend by traveling to Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Independence 60. Placing 2nd in his 10-lap heat behind Rod Conley, Mike earned an 8th place starting spot for the $12,000-to-win A-Main. Slipping out of the top ten Benedum logged a 14th place outing.

The following night brought LOLMDS followers to Muskingum County Speedway (Zanesville, Ohio) for the Lumi-Lite Candle 60. Sending the top four out of the heats, Mike posted a 4th place finish edging his way into the feature. After getting spun-out early in the race, Benedum stormed through the field from the tail to pick up a solid 10th place finish in the 60-lapper.

December 12th, 2015 - Mike Benedum Captures One Victory During 2015 Campaign
Competing in a total of twenty-three events, Mike Benedum captured one victory on the season in the American Motor Racing Association (AMRA) Series. While the rain cancelled seven of Benedum's scheduled dates, Mike recorded seven top ten finishes. He also finished the season with three top five outings.
